Who we are
A small company that works backwards from the buyer
The Land Buyer finds land with development potential for housebuilders who have told us, in writing, what they want. It grew out of Hafan Homes, which since 2019 has renovated and let houses in the South Wales valleys and still does. The land business is run as its own brand because it is a different job: not houses, but the ground they stand on, and not for us, but for a named buyer.
That order matters. Most land businesses collect land and then look for a buyer. We hold the requirement first, then look for the land. It means a landowner who hears from us hears about a real buyer. A buyer who hears from us hears about a site that already fits.
Iain Forster reads every enquiry and makes every first call. He has spent twenty years building software for businesses and now applies the same habit of checking the record before forming a view: title, plan, planning history, flood, access, constraints, in that order, before anyone is asked for anything. He trained in land development through a structured programme in 2026 and works with the land data, planning and auction tools he has built himself.
Not an estate agent: we do not market your land for a fee. Not a planning consultant: we do not sell advice. Not a volume builder: the homes are built by the housebuilder your land is matched to. We are the party that finds the fit, carries the planning and shares the uplift with you.

No price on a first call, no deadlines in a letter, a stop list honoured the same day.
Dates we keep
Ten days to a first answer. If we will be late we say so before the date.
